Andy started conducting after joining the US Navy Band in Washington DC. Encouraged by a colleague, he auditioned for and was awarded the position of Enlisted Conductor with that ensemble. He has conducted several professional organizations in the greater Washington area, and performed a wide range of repertoire from the classics to world premieres.
